Welcome to Just.Ed
I’m Lindsay Crawford, a special education consultant with over 14 years of experience supporting public and charter schools across New York City and California. I’ve worked as a classroom teacher, special education team leader, and mentor—so I understand the realities schools face every day.
I partner with schools and organizations to strengthen special education systems, improve IEP quality, support educators with complex cases, and build team capacity through practical, collaborative professional development. My work is grounded in real school experience, compliance knowledge, and a deep respect for the work educators do.
I also support a limited number of families on a referral basis, which informs my ability to help schools build stronger, trust-based relationships with the families they serve.
Why Work With Me?
With over 14 years working inside schools, I understand your constraints, pressures, and reality. I'm not an outsider with unrealistic expectations—I'm a partner who gets it. I provide practical, actionable solutions that work within your resources, and my experience working with families gives me unique insight into building stronger school-family partnerships. My goal is to strengthen what you're already doing and help you create systems that make your work easier and more effective.
What Educators Are Saying
"Lindsay is one of those rare people who just knows everything about special education and can break it down in a way that actually makes sense. She's incredibly supportive and kind, but she also pushes you to grow in ways you didn't even know you needed.
Her coaching gave me real, practical strategies that worked—not just theory. She helped me see my students in a more holistic way and guided me to trust my own instincts in the classroom. Lindsay creates a space where you feel supported but also challenged to be better every day.
She's not just knowledgeable—she's invested in helping you become the best educator you can be. Anyone lucky enough to work with her will walk away more confident, capable, and inspired."
— Tenzin Gould Former Special Education Teacher, San Francisco Unified School District
“I would not be where I am today without Lindsay Crawford’s support during my first year of teaching. She taught me how to write IEPs with confidence, navigate RTI and referral processes, run effective meetings, and lead SPED teams with clarity and care. She was my biggest mentor — always grounding her guidance in community and what was best for kids. Lindsay didn’t just teach me compliance and systems; she modeled how to communicate with families with compassion, build trust, and advocate in ways that truly honor students and their rights. Her support shaped my entire foundation as a SPED educator.”
