Welcome to Just.Ed

I’m Lindsay Crawford, a special education consultant and mom of two with over 14 years of experience working inside public and charter schools across New York City and California. I’ve been a classroom teacher, special education team leader, and mentor to educators—and I understand firsthand the realities schools face every day.

I know how schools operate, how decisions are made, and the pressure of compliance within limited time and resources. I also know how deeply educators care about student success, and how frustrating it can be when systems, communication breakdowns, or unclear processes get in the way of doing what’s best for students.

That’s where I come in.

My work is rooted in collaboration and practical, school-based solutions. I don’t come in as an outsider telling teams what they’re doing wrong—I come in as a partner who understands your world and helps strengthen what’s already in place. Whether you need support navigating a complex case, improving IEP quality and systems, or building your team’s capacity through targeted professional development, my goal is to help schools create sustainable, meaningful change.

In addition to my work with schools and organizations, I support a limited number of families on a referral basis. This work keeps me closely connected to family perspectives and helps me support schools in strengthening communication, collaboration, and trust with the families they serve.

Together, we can build special education programs that are effective, compliant, and grounded in strong relationships—so every student receives the support they deserve.
